Reporting to the
General Manager, the Fabrication Estimator will be responsible for the
entire end to end process of quoting custom metal fabricated jobs for T-Mar
Industries. This will include interpreting and confirming job requirements,
project scoping and timing, providing detailed estimates of material costs,
labour for cutting material, fitting, handling, weld prep and welding,
submitting the quote, follow up and interim interface with the customer and
following through on progress and technical requirements or changes with
plant during the job.

The qualified candidate will assume the lead estimating role on all
large fabrication quotes.
2.
It will be vitally important for the estimator to become familiar
with T-Mar products.
3.
It will be necessary for the Estimator to conduct regular site visits
during and following quotation to fully understand the application of the
job and to further strengthen our relationship with the customer.

The qualified candidate will be expected to interface very
effectively with our customers Engineering, Buyers, Purchasing Management,
Technical personnel, Operations staff and Management. The qualified
candidate will act in a professional and technically proficient manner at
all times.
5.
Internally, the Estimator will work very closely with the Production
Manager, Materials Manager, Engineering, and with sales and management
depending on scope and magnitude of the prospective job.
6.
Engineering design or editing is not necessarily required and if so,
any necessary engineering may be facilitated by our in-house engineering
personnel.
